PHOENIX (CBS5) -
The Department of Energy said it will make a major announcement Tuesday about renewable energy development on public lands in Arizona and five other western states.
The announcement stems from the Obama Administration's "all-of-the-above" energy strategy aimed at expanding domestic energy production.
The DOE said the announcement is regarding the development of renewable energy on public lands in Arizona, California, Nevada, New Mexico and Utah.
Secretary of the Interior Ken Salazar and DOE's David Danielson are scheduled to make the announcement at 11:30 a.m.
