Michael Borboa
SIERRA VISTA, AZ (CBS5) -
Authorities arrested an intoxicated man at a southern Arizona movie theater after a confrontation caused moviegoers to flee a screening of the Dark Knight Rises the same day a gunman killed 12 people at a Colorado cinema.
Michael William Borboa, 27, was allegedly drunk and acting strangely when he walked into a Cinemark theater in Sierra Vista Friday evening carrying a large backpack, according to the Cochise County Sheriff's Office.
Cochise County sheriff's deputies said a patron confronted Borboa, causing "mass hysteria" and more than 50 people left the theater. It's unknown at this time what happened during the confrontation.
Off-duty Border Patrol agents subdued Borboa and a deputy secured his backpack that contained an empty Mike's Hard Lemonade bottle and a half-empty blueberry moonshine bottle.
Borboa was transported to the Sierra Vista Jail and was booked on charges of disorderly conduct and threatening and intimidating.
