PHOENIX (CBS5) -
Lake Pleasant was anything but pleasant Sunday as strong winds whipped up water and rocked boats at the Marina at about 3:30 p.m.
Meanwhile, the Department of Public Safety had their hands full with a wreck on I-17 near mile post 258. An RV was tossed off the roadway. Wicked winds were responsible for the delays caused due to the wreck. DPS officers said no one was injured.
In Chandler, one of the city's public pools was closed because of yesterday's storms.
Further east, in Apache Junction, a sand storm at about 6 p.m. Sunday was a scary reminder of Saturday's storms for Bobby Bauders.
"The big wall of dust came in," he recalled. "I heard this big boom."
On Sunday afternoon, Bauders said he is still trying to figure out how to repair his grandmother's deck, which was destroyed by the wind and rain Saturday.
"(I will have to) rip it apart, I guess, and then rebuild," he said.
