AHWATUKEE, AZ (CBS5) -

Phoenix police said they arrested three suspects Thursday night in connection with the home invasion and assault of a Phoenix woman.

Two 18-year-old men, Arryck Blanton and Kasey Phelps, and a 17-year-old boy were arrested and suspected of assaulting the woman, tying her to a chair and stealing a number of her belongings at gunpoint, including her 2001 Jaguar, officers said.

The 45-year-old woman was home alone in Ahwatukee when she heard a knock on her door Saturday night. At first, she ignored the knock, but a voice called her name and said they had her daughter, according to Sgt. Tommy Thompson of the Phoenix Police Department.

She opened the door to peek outside, and three men, two of whom were armed with handguns, forced their way in, Thompson said. They did not have her daughter in tow.

Thompson said the woman was assaulted and then tied to a chair. The suspects ransacked her home, stealing a number of items and then fled in the victim's Jaguar.

It wasn't until nearly three hours later that the victim was able to break free and call for help, neighbors said.

Police said they were able to recover most of the victim's stolen property. Her vehicle was found burned near 7100 W. Baseline.

Police don't believe this was an isolated incident because the victim's daughter knew one of the suspects.

Chelsea Fitzgerald lives a few homes down from where the home invasion took place. She said hearing the news sent chills down her spine.

"I would never expect something like this to happen in my neighborhood," Fitzgerald said.

People with any information about the incident or the suspects are asked to call the Phoenix Police Department at 602-262-6151 or Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS.
