Glendale PD seeks help identifying homicide suspect

PHOENIX (CBS5) -

Glendale police are asking for help in identifying a man suspected of shooting and killing a 29-year-old man on Dec. 5, 2011.

Police said a man knocked on the front door of a home in the 5300 block of Colter Avenue around 7:30 p.m.

Daniel Encinas Sr., answered the door and when his son, Encinas Jr., walked to the door, the suspect pulled a handgun and shot him.

The suspect sped away in an older, light-colored Cadillac, according to police.

Encinas Jr. was rushed to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. Encinas Sr. was not harmed.

The suspect was described as Hispanic, in his early 20s, about 5'10" tall, 160 pounds, with a thin mustache.

Glendale detectives have released a sketch of the suspect.
