PHOENIX (CBS5) -
Mesa police arrested a man they said broke into a home and threatened to kill one of the homeowners Thursday morning.
Police said Timothy Bonneville broke into the front door of a house at the 700 block of W. Pepper Place around 5:15 a.m.
The noise woke up the homeowner, who told police she walked out to find Bonneville using a trash can to fend of her dog.
Bonneville then threatened to kill the victim, police said. The victim and her family fled out of the house, where they realized their car had also been broken into.
Bonneville fled from the house on foot, and was found by police hiding on 25 N. Extension Road.
Bonneville was not wearing the clothing the victim described to officers, but police said he was identified as the suspect by two people.
