TUCSON, AZ (AP) -

A former motorcycle gang member has been sentenced to 19 years in prison for the fatal shooting of a Tucson man.

Pima County prosecutors said William Gary Potter, 56, was sentenced Wednesday. In April, he pleaded guilty to second-degree murder and possession of a deadly weapon by a prohibited possessor.

The Arizona Daily Star said Potter is an ex-Hells Angels member and faced up to a 37-year prison term.

Potter was arrested in the death of 50-year-old Randall Scott Pfeil, who was shot twice in the head in July 2010.

Authorities said the body was found in a trash pit on Potter's property south of Three Points.

Pfeil's body was discovered as part of a missing-persons investigation after his truck was found abandoned about two miles from Potters' home.
