GLENDALE, AZ (CBS5) -
Glendale residents can now find information regarding the city's temporary sales tax increase at the city website and via the city's public access TV station.
The City Council approved a temporary 0.7 percent increase in the city sale tax, from 2.2 percent to 2.9 percent. The tax will become effective Aug. 1 and will expire Aug. 1, 2017, and is expected to generate $22 million to help balance the city's budget.
