1 dead, 1 injured in Coconino County rollover crash

PAGE, AZ (CBS5) -

An 18-year-old man is dead and a 16-year-old girl is in the hospital after what deputies believe was a rollover crash north of Page Friday morning.

Coconino County Sheriff's deputies and detectives believe the driver of the two-door Jeep lost control of the vehicle while driving through the left-hand curve of the road. Deputies also believe the car went back to the road and rolled several times because the driver tried to correct the Jeep.

Both people were thrown from the car around milepost 39 of Coppermine Road and it is unknown who was driving. The man was pronounced dead on scene. The girl was treated by firefighters and flown to Flagstaff Medical Center.

Deputies are still trying to determine the cause of the crash.
