PD: Man shot in stomach in Peoria

PEORIA, AZ (CBS5) -

A man was shot in the stomach in Peoria on Tuesday morning while meeting with someone he hadn't known long, according to Peoria police.

He was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries but is expected to be OK, according to police.

The victim was meeting with an acquaintance near 91st Avenue and Deer Valley before 3 a.m., officials said.

There is no description of the suspect right now, and no other information is available it this time.
