New charter school campus to open in Phoenix - CBS 5 - KPHO

A public charter school will hold a grand opening for a new Phoenix campus Tuesday.

New World Education Center, a public charter school that has been around since 1979, is opening its Central Corridor facility at 5818 N. 7th St., a press release said.

The grand opening will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. and allow prospective students and families to tour the facility and meet teachers and administrators, according to the press release.

New World also offers an online program for Phoenix students in grades nine through 12.

Phoenix has seen a growing number of charter schools open as parents search for educational options that best fit their kids needs.
