NOGALES, AZ (CBS5) -
U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers arrested a 66-year-old Mexican national who allegedly tried to smuggle more than 27 pounds of cocaine through the Dennis DeConcini Port Saturday.
Drug-sniffing dogs alerted officers to the presence of drugs when the suspect tried to enter the country and officers found 11 packages of cocaine worth an estimated $249,000 hidden in the vehicle.
The suspect was arrested and the drugs and vehicle were seized.
