A 5-year-old boy died in an El Mirage hospital Sunday night after he may have been struck by a car, police said.
The boy was running in the street after a family gathering at a trailer park on Greenway Boulevard near Grand Avenue, police said, and the 911 call indicated the child might have been hit by a car.
Officers began giving aid to the boy when they arrived, and he was taken to a local hospital where he died from his injuries.
El Mirage detectives are still investigating and are waiting on the results of the autopsy.
