TUCSON, AZ (AP) -
Authorities rescued two people in Tucson during Saturday's rain storms.
A woman had to be rescued after she tried to drive her minivan through a flooded intersection, the Arizona Daily Star reported.
The woman made it halfway through the intersection before her minivan got stuck on a sandbar hidden beneath the rushing water.
Rescuers were able to walk the woman through the intersection.
Separately, rescuers fished a man out of the river out of Santa Cruz River after a bus driver had seen him clinging to an embankment trying to climb out.
On Friday night in Lake Havasu City, a 38-year-old man died after he was swept away by flood waters after the vehicle he was traveling in was caught in a rush of water.
