Scottsdale PD: Driver impaired in hit-and-run

SCOTTSDALE, AZ (CBS5) -

Scottsdale police believe the driver in a hit-and-run just west of Thomas and Scottsdale roads on Thursday was impaired.

The Scottsdale Police Department Officer David Pubins said the suspect, driving a green Honda Civic, rear-ended a black Ford Explorer. The SUV rolled several times and the driver of the car attempted to flee the scene, but he was captured nearby.

The driver of the Ford was transported to Scottsdale Healthcare on Osborn Road to be treated for minor injuries.

No other details were released at this time.
