The Mayo Clinic in Arizona had a record month for solid organ transplants in June, a hospital spokeswoman said.
The clinic performed 41 transplants including 26 kidneys, nine livers, four hearts and two pancreases, the spokeswoman said. The previous record for a given month was 38.
Mayo Clinic is the largest provider of solid organ transplants in Arizona and the third largest transplant center in the region encompassing Arizona, California, Nevada, New Mexico and Utah, hospital officials said.
