TUCSON, AZ (AP) -
A landmark restaurant in southern Arizona known for having a facade of a massive stucco cow skull with horns as high as 30 feet has closed after being forced into foreclosure.
The Longhorn Grill in Amado closed at the end of June, the Arizona Daily Star reported.
Former owner Ed Madril said slow sales forced a bank to foreclose on the property, and he didn't have the cash to buy it back.
The building, built in the early 1970s, appeared in as a backdrop of movies such as "Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore," "Boys on the Side" and "Vanishing Point."
