MESA, AZ (AP) -
The city of Mesa is launching a pilot program that will provide up to $100,000 in incentives to residents and business owners who install a solar system.
Those who qualify for the incentives will be picked on a first come, first served basis.
People seeking the incentives will be limited up to $5,000, while the benefit for businesses is capped at $10,000.
The incentives give the city renewable energy credits.
The pilot program begins this month and will continue for another year provided that there is funding available.
