Firefighters battling Peoria house fire

PEORIA, AZ (CBS5) -

Firefighters are trying to extinguish a fire in the attic of a Peoria home.

A passerby noticed the smoke from the roof near Deer Valley Road and 87th Avenue and told the people inside, fire officials said.

Everyone got out safely, officials said.

The cause of the fire is currently unknown, and no other information is available at this time.
