PHOENIX (CBS5) -
St. Vincent de Paul only has nine days worth of water remaining on its human services campus as it struggles to meet the demands of the homeless, the nonprofit organization said.
St. Vincent de Paul said it is asking the community for bottled water donations to help it meet the needs of the homeless.
The organization has been opening its Phoenix and Mesa dining rooms past lunch hours on days with excessive heat warnings to provide water and shelter for the homeless, but the shelter's water supply is diminishing as more homeless have sought help.
Monetary donations can be made online at www.stvincentdepaul.net or bottled water donations can be dropped off at any of the following locations:
