Man drowns at Lake Mohave, son in hospital

SEARCHLIGHT, NV (AP) -

A 36-year-old man drowned and his 2-year-old son is in critical condition after they were pulled from Lake Mohave on Sunday.

National Park Service spokesman Randy Lavasseur said authorities were investigating the drowning.

Authorities said there were no witnesses to the drowning.

Swimmers spotted the man and his son floating in the water about 25 yards from the shoreline.

Neither person was wearing a life preserver.

The 2-year-old is now being treated at a hospital.
