PHOENIX (CBS5) -

The Coconino County Sheriff's Office is asking the public to help find a missing 46-year-old man with dementia who disappeared from a group home near Flagstaff on Friday.

John Yarnold was last seen at a group home on Easy Street in the Doney Park neighborhood east of Flagstaff at about 5:30 p.m., the sheriff's office said.

Authorities said Yarnold suffers from dementia and may be very confused and disoriented. They want residents in the greater Flagstaff area to keep an eye out for him.

Yarnold is described as 6'2" and weighs about 170 pounds.  He has scruffy brown hair and a beard, the sheriff's office said. He may be wearing prescription glasses.

Authorities did not know what he was wearing at the time of his disappearance, but they said he often wears sweat pants.

Anyone who sees him is asked to call the Coconino County Sheriff's Office at 928-774-4523 or toll free at 1-800-338-7888.
