GLENDALE, AZ (CBS5) -
About 1,700 Glendale residents were without power for a little more than an hour Friday morning.
A line failure at a power switching cabinet caused the outage short after 10 a.m., but Arizona Public Service restored power by 11:20 a.m.
The affected area is bounded by Greenway Road to the north, Sweetwater Roads to the south, 51st Avenue to the east and 63rd Avenue to the west, according to Damien Gross of Arizona Public Service.
Gross said there was a transformer fire at West Eugie Avenue and 57th Drive, but did not know if it was the cause of the outage.
No other information was immediately available.
