A 62-year-old Kingman man has been arrested as authorities in Mohave County investigate a possible kidnapping.
Mohave County Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Trish Carter said a woman called 911 about 6:15 a.m. Thursday to report that her friend had possibly been kidnapped from a Valle Vista home by Clifford Dale Roberts.
The caller said the victim was afraid of Roberts.
Deputies tracked the victim's cell phone to the 3300 block of Andy Devine Avenue, near a Motel 6. Police found the suspect's vehicle and learned he had checked into the motel but had since left.
Authorities tracked Roberts' other cell phone back to the area of Campolindo Lane in Valle Vista where he was located and taken into custody. The victim was found and was not hurt.
MCSO said their investigation is ongoing.
