LAKE POWELL, AZ (CBS5) -

Two 3-year-olds from Cedar City, UT, were treated for head injuries after the boat they were riding on slammed into a rock island on Lake Powell. A 25-year-old female Cedar City resident was also injured in the crash.

Arizona Game and Fish officers say all three victims were sitting on the bow of the 23-foot boat when they were ejected and landed on shore. The National Park Service says the call came in at 9:43 p.m., immediately following a fireworks display on the lake.

Classic medical transport flew the 3-year-old boy to Flagstaff Medical Center, where he was treated for non-life-threatening head injuries, while the 3-year-old girl and female adult were driven by ambulances to a hospital in Page. Both were treated for non-life-threatening head injuries and soft tissue damage consistent with blunt force trauma.

Investigators do not believe the boat driver was impaired at the time of the crash.
