GILBERT, AZ (AP) -
Two men are dead after the car they were riding in veered into a light pole near SanTan Village mall in the Phoenix suburb of Gilbert.
Gilbert police have identified the victims as 23-year-old Michael Jacob Bruenig of Mesa and 39-year-old Bryan Joseph Taube of Gilbert.
Police said Bruenig was driving the vehicle when it crashed about 10:30 p.m. Wednesday.
They say speed and alcohol may be factors in the crash and the incident remains under investigation.
