A man has been arrested by Mesa police after threatening a motorist and fighting with officers, according to authorities.
Mesa police said Jimmy Madrid, 33, was riding his bicycle on Tuesday afternoon when he got in a fight with a motorist and showed the motorist a knife at 1342 W. Emerald.
The motorist called police but when they arrived, Madrid was gone.
Officers were then called to a nearby apartment by a man that said Madrid was trying to get into his apartment.
When police found Madrid, he fought with officers and tried to bite an officer before being tased.
He was taken into custody.
