PHOENIX (CBS5) -
A dive team from the Phoenix Police Department searched the Arizona canal in Phoenix on Tuesday morning for a firearm they believe might have been used in the shooting death of a man more than a year ago.
Officer James Holmes said police have a suspect in custody, and the investigation led them to the canal to search for the gun.
Oswadlo Rodriguez, 35, was shot and killed during an armed robbery March 3, 2011, at the Yerberia San Simone store at 505 W. Hatcher Rd. The canal search was near 19th Avenue and Hatcher, just south of the store's location.
