PHOENIX (CBS5) -
An early-morning fire destroyed the mobile home of an elderly Phoenix couple Tuesday.
The fire broke out around 6 a.m. in the Turf Paradise Mobile Home Park at 1656 W. Tierra Buena, near 19th Avenue and Greenway Road.
The trailer's owners were not home at the time of the fire, according to a Phoenix Fire Department spokesman. They were staying at a hotel because of air conditioning problems with the single-wide trailer, according to the spokesman.
The trailer was a total loss and Phoenix Fire Department volunteers were helping the distraught couple deal with their loss, the spokesman said.
No cause had been determined.
