ST. JOHNS, AZ (AP) -

About 1,400 people living in Apache County will be asked this month to answer a survey that's aimed at measuring the physical and psychological effects of the Wallow Fire last year in eastern Arizona.

The survey is part of a study that the Apache County Department of Public Health and UCLA School of Medicine are conducting.

The Wallow Fire was the largest wildfire in Arizona history as measured in acreage.

The blaze burned more than 538,000 acres in Arizona and parts of western New Mexico before it was fully contained.

The survey will be mailed to1,400 randomly selected homes.
