Republican committee to host federal candidate forum

PARADISE VALLEY, AZ (CBS5) -

The Republican Committee of Legislative District 28 is holding a federal candidate forum on Monday, July 2, featuring candidates for senatorial and House seats.

Republican Reps. Ben Quayle and David Schweikert are expected to be at the event, discussing the upcoming Congressional District 6 primary, which pits the two against one another.

Additionally, Republican District 9 candidates Leah Campos Schandlbauer, Travis Grantham, Vernon Parker, Wendy Rogers, Martin Sepulveda and Jeff Thompson will discuss their upcoming congressional races.

Republican U.S. Senate candidates Wil Cardon, Jeff Flake, Bryan Hackbarth, John Lyon, and Clair Van Steenwik will also be there to discuss their upcoming primary.

Candidates will be given time for opening and closing remarks, with a majority of the time being spent in a moderated question and answer period.

The forum, scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m., will be held in Camelback Bible Church.  

The cost is $5 for pre-order and $10 at the door.
