PHOENIX (CBS5) -
The start time for five Arizona Cardinals regular season games will be moved back by 10 minutes after the National Football League announced changes to its Sunday afternoon double header schedules, Cardinals officials said.
The NFL announced start times for Sunday afternoon doubleheader games televised on CBS and FOX will be moved from 1:15 p.m. to 1:25 p.m. The 1:05 p.m. kickoff for games not on the doubleheader network will remain the same, NFL officials said.
The following Cardinal's game start times have been changed:
- Seattle at Arizona, Sept. 9, 1:25 p.m.
- St. Louis at Arizona, Nov. 25, 2:25 p.m.
- Chicago at Arizona, Dec. 23, 2:25 p.m.
- Arizona at Seattle, Dec. 9, 2:25 p.m.
- Arizona at San Francisco, Dec. 30, 2:25 p.m.
The NFL said the move will lower the chances that fans will miss the end of games that start at 10 a.m. because they must receive the opening kickoff of their home team's late-afternoon games.
All games played in weeks 7-11 may have their scheduling changed as they could potentially be moved to an NBC prime time game, officials said.
