PHOENIX (CBS5) -

Strong thunderstorm winds blew several trailers off their foundations in the area of 609 E. Hodgman Trail in Eloy Wednesday evening, the Pinal County Sheriff's Office said.

At least two or three trailers were destroyed and a barn was blown away, PCSO said.

The Red Cross told CBS 5 News it recalled teams it had sent to Eloy to help families after three homes were destroyed. The families declined assistance.

An airport weather warning for Sky Harbor International Airport was in effect for about an hour.

Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport reported a wind gust of 46 mph and a 1/4 mile visibility at around 7:40 p.m.

A number of other weather warnings and advisories were posted for the Valley late Wednesday as the monsoon stirred up the atmosphere.

The Phoenix metro area was under a dust storm warning. Some sections were bracing for the potential of 40 mph winds.

Earlier, a 10 to 15-mile-wide dust storm rolled over northwest Pinal and southeast Maricopa counties. The storm was almost 3,000 feet high.

Arizona's monsoon season began June 15 and runs through Sept. 30.
