Boy to receive award for saving mother's life

PHOENIX (CBS5) -

The Mesa Fire Department and the Pine-Strawberry Fire Department will present a 10-year-old boy with a life saving award on Thursday.

Bradley Mitchell is credited with saving his mother's life after a car accident that occurred on December 2011.

The Mitchell family's car rolled over an embankment ejecting all the passengers in the car as they were driving near Pine, the Pine Fire Department said. Mitchell performed CPR on his mother, Amanda, and has been credited by the fire department with saving her life.

The award presentation will be on held on Thursday, June 14, at 8845 E. Colby Circle in Mesa.
