TEMPE, AZ (CBS5) -
About 40 teens looking for careers in public safety got real-life experience this week from Scottsdale Police and Fire.
Along with CPR and first aid training, the Valley teens got lessons on a wide range of techniques, including riot control, decision shooting scenarios and fighting fires, according to Lori Schmidt with the Scottsdale Fire Department.
The event takes place at the Tom Hontz Training Facility, located at 911 N. Stadem Dr.
This is the fifth year for the Scottsdale Public Safety Teen Academy.
