Salvation Army opens hydration stations across the Valley

PHOENIX (CBS5) -

The mercury is rising in thermometers across the Valley, and that means it's important to stay hydrated.

That's why the Salvation Army is doing everything it can to make sure that some of the neediest people in Arizona have water and other necessities to help them stay cool.

One of the ways they're getting water out to those who most need them is through hydration stations.

"We cannot remember having gone out this soon before, but it looks like this is going to be one of those years when we're going to have a lot of need for this sort of service," said Olin Hogan, the Salvation Army Phoenix Coordinator.
