Collins Fire at AZ-Mexico border spreads to 60 acres

SIERRA VISTA, AZ (CBS5) -

A wildfire burning in the Sierra Vista Ranger District of the Coronado National Forest is now 70 percent contained, forestry officials said.

The Cochise County Sheriff's Office said Palominas Fire was dispatched to Campanini Canyon near the Arizona-Mexico border around 2:20 p.m. on Monday.

As of Thursday, the Collins Fire had burned 50 acres in the U.S. and approximately 11,853 acres in Mexico.

Fire management personnel said they believe the fire was caused by a human, and it remains under investigation.
