Kids fish for free in June

KINGMAN, AZ (CBS5) -

Kids can fish for free on Saturday, June 2, at D'Ambro ponds north of Kingman.

Mohave County sheriff's deputies, along with Arizona Game and Fish, will help with the annual event, which goes from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Free hot dogs and drinks will be provided, as well as fishing poles and bait.

Sheriff Tom Sheahan is expected to give a trophy to whomever reels in the big one.

The event is free for children between 5 and 16 years old, but donations to D'Ambro pond would be appreciated.

Please pre-register on Saturday, May 26, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the Arizona Game and Fish Office at 5325 N. Stockton Hill Rd. in Kingman.
