Ordering online can be fast, cheap and often secure. But one major online company is taking a hit as scammers target those customers.
Amazon is a major player when it comes to online orders. But scam artists are going after Amazon customers - stealing their information.
It starts with an email that appears to be from Amazon.com, canceling your order. The subject heading is: "Your cancellation." But when you click on it, the scammers gain access to your sensitive information.
Experts recommend deleting any of these cancellation e-mails that have an eight-digit order number, because they are likely a scam.
