PHOENIX (CBS5) -
Subway and Shamrock Farms partnered to award new bikes to kids who have been great examples to their communities.
Today, three students at Cesar Chavez Community School were given free bikes, helmets and locks.
Their classmates didn't leave empty handed. They were treated to a free lunch from Subway and Shamrock Farms.
The lunch and bike donation is part of a combined initiative called Cycle for Success.
The program focuses on increasing children's self-esteem, encouraging the community to become involved in the lives of at-risk children and promoting volunteerism in local schools.
