PHOENIX (CBS5) -

About half of young people have to deal with cyber bullying, according to the Cyberbullying Research Center.

But now a valley high school counselor has come up with a creative idea to teach kids and their parents how to fight back.

It's a board game called "Cyberbully."

Brian and Marcela Collier came up with the idea about a year ago, after Brian had a lot of students telling him they were being bullied online.

They wanted something that would bring kids and parents together.  He also wanted to create a tool that could be used in schools.

The game spells out what to do in specific situations.

"They learn how to block a sender. They learn how to print out screenshots and share those with adults. A lot of them don't know how to navigate through a security system on a social web site," Brian Collier.

Here is one of the questions:

You just received a sexually inappropriate text message of a girl/guy in your school. What should you do?

A. Keep it saved in your phone and show your friends.

B. Delete the photo and don't tell anyone.

C. Delete the photo. Keeping this photo is considered possessing child pornography and you could have legal consequences. Tell a trusted adult.

The Colliers are raising funds on the web site, www.kickstarter.com.  They hope to raise 20, 000, in order to get the game manufactured and into Valley schools.
