Capital Processing Network Statement

CBS 5 Investigates received the following statement from the Capital Processing Network.

To Whom It May Concern:

I would like to make the following points which I hope will be shared. 

1. This entire matter has been engendered by a disgruntled former employee.  She has filed a legal claim against CPN and this matter should be handled in the court, after a full and fair hearing, and not tried in the media.
2. CPN is a "marketing" company, not a credit card processor.  As such, CPN does not process any credit card transactions.
3. Accordingly, CPN does not store any sensitive credit card materials (i.e., credit card  account numbers) or similar information on site.
4. CPN fully supports the efforts of the EEOC in encouraging employment among minority communities and in making the employment component in the rehabilitation of the incarcerated population more available to all.
