Wendy's restaurants held a fundraiser Wednesday evening for the victims of last week's quadruple murder-suicide in Gilbert.
One of the victims, Amber Mederos, worked for the past 5 1/2 years at the Wendy's at Cooper and Warner roads in Gilbert.
Wendy's has both corporate-owned and franchise-owned stores in the Valley and all participated.
The fast food chain donated to the Mederos family 10 percent of all sales made between 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. on Wednesday. A spokeswoman for the restaurants said she hoped to collect enough money to cover the costs of the funeral.
