The economy may be showing signs of life, but jobs are still hard to come by.
In Phoenix, veterans filled out applications Thursday at the Helping our Heroes Job Fair.
The event connected employers with hundreds of vets looking for work.
Statistics show veterans returning home have a higher unemployment rate than the rest of the country.
The job fair was hosted by Rep. Ben Quayle.
