A man has been shot in the stomach during an officer-involved shooting, according to Phoenix police.
The incident happened at 99th Avenue and Lower Buckeye. Officials say security guards at Kohl's called 911 on a suspected shoplifter. When officers showed up, they tried to stop the man. That's when the suspect was shot in the stomach. The suspect was transported to a local hospital.
The officer in the incident was not harmed.
