Museum welcomes its 1 millionth visitor

PHOENIX (CBS5) -

After just about 3 1/2 years, the Children's Museum of Phoenix welcomed its 1 millionth visitor Monday.

When Nicole Estevez and her daughter Izzy walked in, they were showered with confetti, balloons and gifts.

Estevez told CBS 5 News that they weren't expecting this at all.

"I was nervous. I thought we were ruining something. We didn't know what was going on. We were just excited to be here today meeting all our friends," explained Estevez.

Estevez and Izzy received a museum gift package worth more than $600.
