GLENDALE, AZ (CBS5) -
On the baseball field, he's just one of the guys but 13-year-old Emery Miller is far from ordinary.
Miller was born with congenital heart defects and is scheduled for his 5th surgery in April.
But that's not stopping him.
He's actually a leader in the fight against heart disease and that role is taking him all the way to the White House.
On Friday, Emery will meet with senior Obama Administration officials to discuss the impact heart disease has had on his life.
"When I go there I'm just trying to make a difference and I'm one of 70 people picked; one of two people under 18," shared Miller.
Emery is a top fundraiser for the American Heart Association's Heart Walk.
He's raised more than $100,000.
Last year he led a campaign to collect teddy bears for the patients at Phoenix Children's Hospital.
