CBS 5 - KPHO MCSO nabs 7 suspected illegal immigrants

Seven suspected illegal immigrants were arrested by Maricopa County sheriff's detectives in northwestern Maricopa County on Tuesday night.

The suspects were on their way from Mexico to California and paid between $1,150 and $3,000 to be smuggled into the U.S., MCSO detectives said.

All suspects were identified as Mexican nationals, sheriff's authorities said. 

Recently, a total of 31 suspected illegal immigrants believed to be involved in human smuggling have been arrested by the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office.
