Man shot by Phoenix officer out of hospital, jailed

GLENDALE, AZ (CBS5) -

A man shot by a Phoenix police officer in Glendale on Feb. 12 was booked into jail after his release from the hospital on Tuesday.

Jeff Lusk, 26, a Phoenix arson suspect, was booked into the Fourth Avenue Jail on two counts of aggravated assault on a police officer, according to Sgt. Brent Coombs of the Glendale Police Department.

Lusk was shot by Officer Nickolas Gombar after approaching officers with a jagged piece of glass after he was contacted by Phoenix police in connection with an arson, Coombs said.
