PEORIA, AZ (CBS5) -

Several people, including a Peoria firefighter, were stung multiple times in a bee attack Tuesday afternoon in a Peoria neighborhood.

When firefighters arrived in the 7200 block of West Yucca Street, they found a 17-year-old boy had been stung five times and a 33-year-old woman stung fewer than three times, according to Peoria Fire Department Deputy Chief Rick Picard.

Another woman was stung earlier and a fourth victim left the scene, authorities said.

The bees were so aggressive that a firefighter was stung multiple times through his protective clothing, Picard said. Nobody was transported to the hospital.

The victims were walking by a house that appeared to have an illegal bee-keeping operation in the backyard, authorities said.
